Glass Ceiling was painted for and featured at a local event. The event was inspired by Truman Capote. I wanted to create a mini series of work unlike my other pieces. It is scumbled, with tones and shades of Ultramarine fading into one another. It creates depth, drawing the view in to a field of vibrant blue, allowing them to get lost in thought and emotion. It is titled "Glass Ceiling" as a reflection of the treatment of Captoe's "muses". There could rise to fame but were always kept under his glass ceiling.
