Night Fish

Night Fish is inspired by "Starry Night". The background, which makes up the fish has swirls of blue with dots of yellow for the stars. I chose a serene, lighter blue that you might see with the moon's glow for the foreground.

This small series explores movement, color, and texture through playful, abstracted fish forms. Lighter in tone than my larger atmospheric works, these paintings retain the same slow, layered process and tactile depth that defines my practice.

Built through rich pigment, texture, and gesture, each piece feels animated and expressive while remaining intentional and painterly. The result is work that brings energy and personality to a space without becoming illustrative or decorative.

These paintings are meant to be lived with—noticed in passing, then rediscovered up close.
